\n\t\tRULES OF COMPETITION\n\t<\/h1>\n\t1 – Register to participate. Please fill out the registration form and settle the registration fee of $75.
\n2 – You must be over 18 years of age.
\n3 – Participation will be up to 5 minutes by artist or group, this time can be reduced by decision of the judges.
\n4 – Voting will be made by a panel of judges who are professionals in the industries of entertainment, communications, and music.
\n5 – Musical genres such as salsa, merengue, bachata, urban, vallenato, Christian, rancheras, pop, will be accepted, among others, at judges’ discretion.
\n6 – The cost of registration is to be paid at the time of registration and will not be refunded.
\n7 – The finalists will have the opportunity to perform in front of a large audience during\u00a0several events and via television presentations.
\n8 – Each participant will be informed where to report for their presentation at least one week in advance.
\n9 – Participant (s) will be responsible for causing any damage before, during and after their participation \u00a0to any of the electronic equipment to be used in the event (eg, cannot break , pull , microphone, speaker , etc. )
\n10 – The organizers reserve the right to sign any of the participants for professional representation under the label of El Arte Productions LLC
\n11 – Participants will be given date, time and place where to perform. If the participant misses their performance time, without prior approval, he\/she may be disqualified.
\n12 – Participant must notify organizers 48 hours before their scheduled presentation of any conflicts. Failure to do so may disqualify them. There will not be any rescheduling of the finalists allowed.
\n13 – No sexually explicit, vulgar, obscene or racially slurred content or actions will be permitted. No risqu\u00e9’ costuming or racial body painting is allowed. If contest judges consider the performance to be in poor taste, no points will be awarded. Participants will be escorted off the stage if at any time the performance is unacceptable according to La Voz Latina rules and regulations.
\n14 – The talent competition can be described as a fun family event. The organizers will not allow drugs, alcohol, obscene language, or heckling.
\n15 – There will be a setup time limit of three minutes. This will be timed.
\n16 – Lip sync and karaoke are not permitted.
\n17 – Participants are responsible for their own props and costumes.
\n18 – Each act will have up to 5 minutes to perform and up to 5 minutes to set.
\nPoint deduction – for going over time limits.
\n19 – USB\u00a0Drive\/CD’s\u00a0are allowed for accompaniment only. They must consist of only the item being used for the performance. Contestants are responsible for picking up their CDs\/USB Drive. When using a CD or any other accompaniment, no like talent is allowed on the recording, i.e., vocal, etc. This will be carefully monitored.
\n20 –\u00a0 Judging will be based on but not limited to the following criteria:
\nTalent – (ability, expertise, skill, proficiency, knowledge) – 50%
\nShowmanship – (Poise, confidence, projections, adaptability, stage presence) – 20%
\nCostume\/staging – (clever, creative, appropriate, continuity, special effects) – 30%
\n21 – Decisions made by the judges are final. Disputes with officials or judges concerning these decisions will result in disqualification.
\n22 – The panel of Judges’ decisions will be final.
\n23 – Professional entertainers are not eligible. A professional is anyone whose livelihood is from the type of performance entered in the competition.
\n24 – Participants give consent to the organizers to be filmed and photographed.
\n25 – The three top winners (1st, 2nd and 3rd places) are to be available as permitted to participate on radio, television and other types of mediums for interviews and\/or performances pertaining to the competition.\n\t\t\t\t\"LVL
